U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today released the following statement on the November jobs report which showed that U.S. employment rose by 321,000 last month.

“Today’s job numbers are great news for the American people, and proof that efforts to get the economy back on track are working,” said Secretary Pritzker. “We have now added more jobs in 2014 than in any full calendar year since the 1990s, and we are seeing positive trends across all sectors of our economy, from employment to exports to housing.

We are working every day to build on this strong momentum and create sustainable growth for the American people, and we need the help of Congress to get some big things done. President Obama and this Administration are committed to action on critical issues like immigration reform, tax reform, trade and investment, workforce development, and infrastructure that will lift incomes and create greater opportunity and prosperity for all Americans. The time to move forward is now.”
