Daniel K. Tarullo was formally sworn in as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System at a ceremony Friday in the atrium of the Board's main building in Washington.

Friends, family, and Board employees attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke.

Governor Tarullo assumed his position on Jan. 28, 2009, following his confirmation by the Senate on Jan. 27, 2009. Governor Tarullo's term expires Jan. 31, 2022.
