Federal Reserve Board announces appointment of Sharon Mowry as chief information officer and director of Information Technology

The Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced the appointment of Sharon Mowry as chief information officer and director of the Division of Information Technology.

Mowry began her career at the Board in 1987 as a financial reports analyst in the division, which provides information technology services to the Board, the Reserve Banks, and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council. She was appointed assistant director of the division in 2000 and deputy director in 2007.

Mowry succeeds Maureen Hannan, who will be retiring after 34 years of Board and government service. Mowry is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the University of Pittsburgh.
