The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 by Ameris Bancorp, Moultrie, Georgia, to acquire Atlantic Coast Financial Corporation ("Atlantic") and thereby indirectly acquire Atlantic's subsidiary bank, Atlantic Coast Bank, both of Jacksonville, Florida.
