The Department of Justice will continue to work with our state, tribal, and local partners to keep our schools safe so that our children can learn and grow in an environment free from fear.

"Federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement are on the scene to provide necessary resources, and grief counselors also are on site to provide assistance to the victims. The FBI and the United States Attorney’s Office in Minnesota will commit all resources needed to learn the facts behind this tragedy and provide comfort and relief to this grieving community. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and the entire tribal community who have been harmed by this tragic event." 05-140
