For Immediate Release DHS Press Office Contact: 202-282-8010 WASHINGTON— Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met with Estonian Minister of the Interior Hanno Pevkur to discuss a range of shared homeland security-related issues, including cybersecurity, border security, and the facilitation of legitimate trade and travel.
Secretary Johnson and Minister Pevkur discussed opportunities for increased information sharing and cybersecurity cooperation. Secretary Johnson and Minister Pevkur also discussed areas for expanded cooperation in border management. Secretary Johnson underscored how the Visa Waiver Program is a valuable program for lawful trade and travel with our Nation’s most trusted partners, including Estonia. He discussed the importance of implementing security enhancements to the program and highlighted the Department’s efforts with the Department of State and other Federal agencies to introduce a number of additional or revised security criteria for all members in the Visa Waiver Program.
