For Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary Contact: 202-282-8010 DHS personnel have been in contact with Virginia state and local law enforcement to offer any assistance necessary to deal with today’s horrible violent incident in Charlottesville. What we have seen today has no place in our society. DHS will continue to work closely with our state and local partners across the country to counter violent extremism in all forms.
