WASHINGTON – Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas released the following statement on the nomination of Kenneth L. Wainstein to serve as Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security: “President Biden has nominated a dedicated public servant, Kenneth L. Wainstein, to lead DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis. Ken has decades of government experience at the highest levels. His deep expertise in national security, counterterrorism, and intelligence matters will benefit our Department and our Nation if he is confirmed. I urge the Senate to swiftly confirm Ken to this critical leadership role.”
