There were 15 press releases or notices published by the Department of Interior in October.

The most recent release, "Interior Department Takes Action to Advance Offshore Wind in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico," was submitted on Oct. 28.

The Department of Interior published 17 the month before, marking an 11.8 percent decrease for the current month.

The Department oversees more than 500 million acres of land. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the department has contributed to a growing water crisis and holds many lands which could be better managed.

Funding for the Department's efforts to secure more land increased 13 percent from 2017 to 2021, totaling $15.4 billion by 2021.
