July: Department of Interior publishes 16 press releases or notices

There were 16 press releases or notices published by the Department of Interior in July.

The most recent release, "Interior Department Celebrates Great American Outdoors Act Anniversary with Fee Free Day on Public Lands," was submitted on July 30.

The Department of Interior published 14 the month before, marking a 14.3 percent increase for the current month.

The Department oversees more than 500 million acres of land. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the department has contributed to a growing water crisis and holds many lands which could be better managed.

Funding for the Department's efforts to secure more land increased 13 percent from 2017 to 2021, totaling $15.4 billion by 2021.
