Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo met with Singapore Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong to discuss progress on the U.S.-Singapore Partnership for Growth and Innovation (PGI) and to outline next steps to produce concrete and commercially meaningful outcomes under the PGI, including the digital economy, supply chain resiliency for semiconductors, and other areas of collaboration.
Additionally, Secretary Raimondo discussed building on the U.S. and Singapore’s strong bilateral collaboration through President Biden’s proposed Indo-Pacific economic framework to advance resilience, inclusion, sustainability, and the interests of our middle classes and small businesses. She invited the Minister to collaborate further with the Department of Commerce on shared goals with the United States in areas such as infrastructure, export controls, the digital economy, and supply chain resilience.
