On Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 --Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will be joined by other top Interior officials at the Interior Department in Washington, D.C. where he will sign a Secretarial Order providing a framework for a national strategy to provide sustainable water supplies, announce a departmental goal for increasing water supplies in the West, and discuss how the Administration's proposed FY 2011 budget supports this initiative.
The event will take place in the high-tech Interior Operations Center and include a geospatial visual presentation about water supply and demand in the United States narrated by Assistant Secretary Anne Castle.
