On Thursday, April 1 2010 Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will visit an offshore energy services company in Harvey, Louisiana to underscore job creation as a major goal of President Obama's proposed Outer Continental Shelf oil and gas development strategy. The Secretary's visit follows up on the President's announcement today of major offshore development plans in the Gulf of Mexico as part of a comprehensive approach to increase the nation's energy security. The Secretary will also announce the next offshore federal lease sale in the Gulf of Mexico.
