SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – On Wednesday, March 13, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will make a significant announcement regarding renewable energy.
In January 2012, Secretary Salazar and Governor Brown signed an agreement to expand a state and federal partnership that has, over the last four years, paved the way for more than a dozen utility-scale solar energy projects. Some 15 GW of renewable energy projects have been approved in California, including more than 5 GW on public lands.
