A man accused of homicide on Halloween night 2020 in Sardis, Mississippi was arrested recently in Memphis, Tennessee by the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Quindarrius Pritchford was taken into custody for the first-degree murder of Cortayvious Norwood, a press release said.
“The Task Force system developed by the Marshals Service and enhanced by our local partners enable the timely arrest of violent fugitives,” U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller said in a press release.
Following an arrest warrant issued on July 26, the Panola County Mississippi Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to the release. Once evidence was uncovered of Pitchford being in the Memphis area, U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force was called to investigate.
The Two Rivers Task Force was able to locate Pitchford, and took him into custody without incident, the release said.

The Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is composed of officers and deputies throughout the western district of Tennessee, as well as U.S. Marshals, and special agents with the Tennessee Department of Corrections. Their objective is to apprehend violent offenders and sexual predators, the release said.
