Boxer Statement on EPA Drinking Water Announcement

Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, made the following statement regarding the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) announcement today that it is taking steps to develop new strategies for addressing drinking water contaminants:

Senator Boxer said: "I am pleased to see that the Administration is proposing steps to improve drinking water protections for dangerous contaminants that can harm the health of our families, including children. I look forward to getting additional details as EPA implements this proposal to better protect the public from toxic chemicals."
