Washington, DC - Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, issued the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notified AllenCo that its oil and gas pumping facility in University Park had violated federal environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act.
Senator Boxer said: "EPA's enforcement action against AllenCo today makes clear what University Park residents have been saying all along - that the AllenCo facility has a long list of environmental hazards that must be addressed if the health and safety of children and families in this neighborhood are to be protected."
