Senator Boxer on GAO Report on Threat to U.S. Military Facilities Posed by Climate Change

Washington, D.C. -- Today, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), issued the statement below after the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report on the threat to U.S. military facilities posed by climate change.

Senator Boxer said: "It is clear that our U.S. military facilities are already vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, and this GAO report adds to the mountain of evidence that we must act now to protect our national security from this threat."
