Robert Moore of Marshall County Water Corporation in Oklahoma Testifies at Senate EPW Committee
WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, held a hearing on Thursday, The Federal Role in Keeping Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Affordable, to examine the federal role in water and wastewater infrastructure. Robert Moore, general manager of the Marshall County Water Corporation from Madill, Okla., participated as a witness in the hearing on behalf of the National Rural Water Association.
“I'm pleased to have had Robert Moore testify about the unique needs of small and rural communities facing wastewater and drinking water challenges," Inhofe said. “Moore provided the Committee with his on-the-ground expertise and real-world perspective about the need for flexibility for small systems, the importance of technical assistance, and the need to target federal funding so it gets to the communities that are most at need."
