Barrasso Statement on the Army Corp’s Intention to Grant Easement for Dakota Access Pipeline

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), released the following statement on the Army Corps of Engineers' (Army Corp) intention to grant an easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline project.

"President Trump has promised to put Americans back to work and this is an important step in fulfilling that promise," said Barrasso. “This project will also provide an efficient means of transporting American oil and will improve our nation's energy security. I applaud the Trump administration for making it a priority."
