House Republicans were encouraged when President Obama announced his support for medical liability reform in this year’s State of the Union address. Immediately after his speech, the Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter to the president pledging to work with the administration on this issue. However, four months later, the committee still hasn’t received a response. House Committees have already acted and passed legislation, H.R. 5, to lower the cost of health care through medical liability reform. Now, we’re just waiting for the president to respond
