The Energy and Power Subcommittee and the Environment and the Economy Subcommittee have scheduled a joint hearing for Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “The Fiscal Year 2016 EPA Budget." Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy will be the sole witness.
“America’s energy abundance holds great promise for American workers and consumers, but EPA’s plans will dim the lights on our bright energy future. EPA continues to regulate at an unprecedented pace, churning out costly regulations that threaten energy affordability and reliability and could undermine our manufacturing renaissance. Administrator McCarthy will once again appear before the committee next week as we take a hard look at EPA’s budget and policies and their influence on America’s energy trajectory," said Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI).as they are posted.
