WASHINGTON, DC - This week the House Energy and Commerce Committee will advance the nonpartisan 21st Century Cures Act, the product of more than a year of listening to patients and health care leaders through hearings, roundtables, white paper responses, and on social media. Full committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) partnered with Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) in the Spring of 2014 to begin this open and collaborative process. Committee members have held a number of roundtables in their home districts and learned firsthand just how important 21st Century Cures is for patients.
