WASHINGTON, DC - The Subcommittee on Health, chaired by Rep. Joseph Pitts (R-PA), has announced a hearing for Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building, entitled “Health Care Solutions: Increasing Patient Choice and Plan Innovation."
The hearing will focus on improving pre-existing condition protections, lowering patient costs, and encouraging plan innovation without government mandates.
“As we work toward a unified, Member-driven plan to move away from Obamacare, this hearing will examine the value of ideas that aim to help families get and keep better care at a lower cost," said Pitts. “From how premiums can be cut through greater competition, to how innovative plan options for consumers can be expanded - all while ensuring coverage for pre-existing conditions - the subcommittee will gain insight into fair solutions to move our country away from today’s broken health care system."
