WASHINGTON, DC - The House Committee on Energy and Commerce today announced its hearing schedule for the week of June 20.
On Wednesday, the Subcommittee on Energy and Power will hold a hearing examining the implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency’s renewable fuel standard (RFS) program. The hearing will provide members with an update on the status and implementation of the program, which requires that increasing amounts of renewable fuels be added to the nation’s gasoline and diesel fuel supply each year through 2022.as they are posted.
On Friday, the Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing to consider legislation to examine and strengthen our national trauma system, including H.R. 4365, the Protecting Patient Access to Emergency Medications Act of 2016. Traumatic injuries are the leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 46. In 2013 alone, these types of injuries represented an economic loss of $670 billion in medical expenses and lost productivity. It is estimated that up to 30,000 trauma deaths each year could be prevented.as they are posted.
