WASHINGTON, DC - Today, all 23 Democratic members of the Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt, voicing concern about states that are seeking Medicaid waivers based on ideological and misguided policies that contradict Congress’ longstanding intent for the program. The lawmakers urged CMS to reject waiver proposals that would harm the ability of beneficiaries to receive and maintain quality health coverage.
