WASHINGTON, DC - Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Tim Murphy (R-PA) and Environment Subcommittee Chairman John Shimkus (R-IL), today issued the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a notice of violation for certain Fiat Chrysler pickups and SUVs.
“EPA’s announcement of alleged violations of the Clean Air Act by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is cause for concern," said Murphy & Shimkus. “There is much we do not know about the details of this investigation. It is important that we develop a better understanding about the facts of this case and monitor developments resulting from EPA’s ongoing investigation of these alleged violations."
