WASHINGTON, DC - Next Wednesday, House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) will join Axios’s Mike Allen at Connecting the Future for a discussion on technology, the future of transportation, and the SELF DRIVE Act.
Originating in the Energy and Commerce Committee, the SELF DRIVE Act is first-of-its-kind legislation to adapt federal motor vehicle safety standards to emerging autonomous technology, and clarify federal and state roles with respect to self-driving cars. It passed the House by voice vote last year.
