DOE, FERC, and EPA Set to Testify Before Energy and Commerce in April

WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), Subcommittee on Energy Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), and Subcommittee on Environment Chairman John Shimkus (R-IL) today announced the dates of three additional budget and oversight hearings for the committee.

* April 12, 2018 - Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Rick Perry will testify before #SubEnergy.

* April 17, 2018 - All Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioners will testify before #SubEnergy.

* April 26, 2018 - Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt will testify before #SubEnvironment.

“We’re looking forward to hearing from the heads of these three agencies for a much-needed update on their work thus far and to ensure they’re prepared to effectively carry out their missions in an evolving world," said Walden, Upton, and Shimkus. “This committee has been leading the way on energy infrastructure, modernizing our environmental laws for the 21st century, and maintaining oversight of the federal agencies under our jurisdiction."
