WASHINGTON, DC - The Health Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), announced a hearing for Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 9 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “21st Century Cures Implementation: Updates from FDA and NIH."
Next week, #SubHealth will continue its review of the implementation of the landmark 21st Century Cures Act (Cures), with a focus on the work being done at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Confirmed to testify are:

* Francis Collins, M.D., Director, NIH
“From modernizing clinical trials to providing new incentives for the development of drugs to treat cancer and rare diseases, Cures promises to radically change how we treat disease," said #SubHealth Chairman Burgess. “With the implementation of Cures now well into its second year, it is important we conduct this check-up to learn more about the work our nation’s scientists are conducting and ensure this bipartisan legislation is being implemented in a manner that keeps pace with innovation."
