WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) issued the following statement after the White House announced it will create a National Spectrum Strategy to improve spectrum management and support next-generation networks.
“The advent of 5G wireless technologies means higher speeds and greater connectivity and convenience for all Americans, but will only be possible with the effective and efficient management of spectrum. We commend the White House for taking this critical step to develop a National Spectrum Strategy, which will in turn help secure U.S. leadership in 5G and unleash innovations of the future.
