Washington, D.C. - Democratic leaders of the House and Senate will host a press event Wednesday, March 6, at 11:15 a.m. in the Rayburn Room of the U.S. Capitol to unveil net neutrality legislation that will keep the internet open and free.
The legislation will reverse the disastrous repeal by Trump’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in late 2017 of the critical net neutrality protections. The FCC’s action eliminated rules that required internet service providers to treat all internet traffic equally. An overwhelming 86 percent of Americans opposed the Trump FCC’s net neutrality repeal, including 82 percent of Republicans.
