E&C Oversight Subcommittee Announces Additional Details for Hearing on Public Health Risks of E-Cigarettes

Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chair Diana DeGette (D-CO) announced today that the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10 am in the John D. Dingell Room, 2123 Rayburn House Office Building entitled, “Sounding the Alarm: The Public Health Threats of E-Cigarettes."

Last week, Chairman Pallone and Oversight and Investigations Chair DeGette announced the Subcommittee’s intention to hold a hearing on the public health impacts and regulatory authorities related to e-cigarette manufacturing, sales, marketing and use. The hearing will include witnesses from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and state health officials.
