Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Health Subcommittee Chairwoman Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA) announced today that the Health Subcommittee will hold a legislative hearing on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 10 am in the John D. Dingell Room, 2123 Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled “Cannabis Policies for the New Decade."
“As public opinion continues to evolve and cannabis policies change at all levels of government, it’s important to bring federal agency officials together to discuss current and future federal cannabis policies," Pallone and Eshoo said. “We’re particularly interested in examining the implications of changing marijuana’s schedule listing, the potential of cannabis research, and federal efforts to review and approve cannabidiol products."
