Washington D.C.- House Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Republican Subcommittee Leaders Rep. Robert Latta (R-OH), Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Fred Upton (R-MI), David McKinley (R-WV), Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), and Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following joint statement on their letter asking the Office of Management and Budget to provide details on COVID-19 Relief:
“In the past year, Congress and the previous administration delivered trillions of dollars in relief for COVID-19. Millions of American families continue to struggle each day as a result of the enduring burdens of this pandemic and may require additional relief to ensure our country’s economic recovery once this pandemic is behind us. This is something that Republicans and Democrats agree on. To make certain Americans have the resources they need, we have requested additional details regarding the status of funding that has already been made available. In order to defeat COVID-19, reopen our economy, and continue to deliver bipartisan results to the American people, we need to focus on providing resources that are easily accessible for states, communities, and frontline workers, vaccinating everyone who wants to be vaccinated, including those most vulnerable to COVID-19, and addressing any outstanding gaps in the relief already provided."
