Washington D.C.- House Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) issued the following statement on the Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2021:

“Every single American deserves access to affordable health care coverage, including those with disabilities and other pre-existing conditions. That is why, as my first order of business in the 117th Congress, I am introducing the Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2021. This bill ensures those with pre-existing conditions have guaranteed access to quality coverage and are not excluded or required to pay more due to circumstances that are out of their control. We need a health care system that expands the choices for all Americans, brings down costs, and gives people greater control over their health and their future."
