Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Chair Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) announced today that the Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee will hold a fully remote legislative hearing on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 12 p.m. (EDT). The hearing is entitled, “Investing in American Jobs: Legislation to Strengthen Manufacturing and Competitiveness."
“To ensure the United States continues to lead the 21st century global economy, we must invest in domestic manufacturing and American competitiveness," said Pallone and Schakowsky. “Next week, we’ll review bills that not only promote a prosperous and secure future for the country, but also create good-paying jobs for Americans. Together these bills will help strengthen our domestic manufacturing, revitalize our economy, and ultimately help build back a better economic future."
This hearing will take place remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the press and the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
