Washington, D.C. - Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Committee Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Health Subcommittee Republican Leader Brett Guthrie (R-KY) released the following statement on four health care bills that passed the House this week with bipartisan support.
“This week, the House passed bipartisan health care solutions to provide hope for a more secure future. Members of the Energy and Commerce Committee led these solutions to promote innovation in advanced and continuous manufacturing for pharmaceuticals, improve the Strategic National Stockpile to enhance pandemic preparedness, and help states turn the tide with the surge in opioid overdoses and deaths of despair. We applaud all our colleagues for their leadership, and hope the People’s House will continue to build on this bipartisan work to improve people’s lives."
