Cape Coral Man Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison for Distributing Fentanyl

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Montonio Moore, aka “Trigga Slim" (40, Cape Coral), was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl. Moore was sentenced to an enhanced term of imprisonment because of his prior serious drug offense convictions. He had pleaded guilty on Jan. 27, 2021.

According to court documents, Moore sold more than $5,000 in fentanyl to the Drug Enforcement Administration during two undercover transactions in June 2020.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration Fort Myers Resident Office, the Cape Coral Police Department, and the Fort Myers Police Department. It was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
