Risch, Menendez Announce SFRC Subcommittee Membership for 116 th Congress

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Sens. Jim Risch (R-ID) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today announced subcommittee chairmen and membership assignments for the 116 th Congress.

“The Senate Foreign Relations Committee subcommittee chairs for the 116 th Congress bring an impressive amount of foreign policy knowledge to our committee," said Chairman Risch. “I am eager to empower the subcommittee chairs to hold hearings and address a wide range of very pressing and important global issues with meaningful debate and legislative activities."

“As we face major political changes that will require our government to remain vigilant and fully engaged and responsive to situations in every part of the world, I am confident that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee subcommittee leaders will ensure we continue our longstanding history of shaping our nation’s foreign policy," said Menendez. “ I look forward to working with them to project the wisdom of our democratic ideals through diplomatic and humanitarian engagement."
