Kline Statement on Supreme Court’s Health Care Decision

The following was published by the House Committee on Education and Labor on June 25, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

House Education and the Workforce Committee Chairman John Kline (R-MN) today issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision in King v. Burwell:

The president’s health care law has led to higher costs, fewer jobs, and tremendous uncertainty for families and small businesses. Today’s decision does not change the fact that the law is fundamentally flawed, and it doesn’t change our resolve to repeal it. Our nation desperately needs a patient-centered health care system, one that provides working families and employers more choices, greater flexibility, and affordable coverage. That is precisely what we will continue to fight for on behalf of the American people.
