Foxx Calls on OMB to Provide Details on Unused COVID-19 Funds

Ahead of next week’s Education and Labor Committee markup of a budget reconciliation bill that will likely include a massive wish list from the far-left, the Committee’s Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) sent a letter to Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget Rob Fairweather requesting details on unused COVID-19 relief funds.

In the letter, Republican Leader Foxx writes: “The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for millions of Americans. Congress and the previous administration passed and implemented five separate, bipartisan bills to deliver trillions of dollars in relief. We are committed to working with the new administration to deliver real solutions for the American people and we want a full understanding of how the previous funds have been used. It is essential that appropriated funds are going to assist those in need, including helping schools safely reopen and getting the economy back on track."
