U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) will deliver the keynote address at Wednesday’s U.S. Chamber of Commerce “Let’s Rebuild America" transportation infrastructure summit.
Chairman Shuster will focus on the importance of infrastructure to the U.S. economy and the Committee’s priorities for the 113th Congress, including addressing the need for a new Water Resources Development Act, reauthorizing passenger rail safety and reform legislation, preparing for the next surface transportation reauthorization, and additional priorities. Following Chairman Shuster’s keynote speech on Wednesday, he will then return to the Capitol to chair the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s first hearing of the 113th Congress entitled “The Federal Role in America’s Infrastructure."
