WASHINGTON, DC-Rep. Peter DeFazio, Chair of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, today met with President Joe Biden and other members of House Democratic leadership to discuss the urgent need for another COVID-19 relief package.
During the meeting, President Biden remarked that he “can hardly wait to sit down with Peter DeFazio to work on infrastructure," as the next major initiative to strengthen the staggering economy and create good-paying jobs.
Following the meeting, DeFazio said that President Biden acknowledged the urgent need for an economic stimulus infrastructure package, saying, “We’re going to deal with climate change and create a hell of a lot of jobs."
