Chairs DeFazio, Carbajal Announce Hearing on the U.S. Coast Guard’s Shoreside Infrastructure Backlog

Washington, DC - Today, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Chair of the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Salud Carbajal (D-CA) announced the subcommittee will hold a hearing titled, “Rebuilding Coast Guard Infrastructure to Sustain and Enhance Mission Capability." This hearing will highlight the need to invest in and provide oversight of shoreside infrastructure, information technology, and data infrastructure support for the U.S. Coast Guard to carry out its missions efficiently and without interruption resulting from technological hurdles, data gaps, or natural and environmental hazards.
