Statement from Ranking Member Sam Graves on FAA Administrator Steve Dickson

Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) issued the following statement regarding the announcement that Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Steve Dickson is stepping down:

“I want to thank Administrator Steve Dickson for his outstanding leadership and steady hand at the FAA for the last two and half years. At a difficult time for the agency, Steve stepped up and led the FAA with confidence and strength, working to restore public confidence in our aviation system while implementing important bipartisan improvements to the aircraft certification process. Steve never compromised on safety and has worked diligently to maintain the FAA’s gold standard in global aviation safety. I appreciate his dedication to public service and his laudable efforts on behalf of the entire aviation community, the traveling public, and the American people. I wish him and his family well."
