ALBANY, NEW YORK - Joseph M. Jackson, age 36, of Stephentown, New York, pleaded guilty today to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Delano A. Reid, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New York
Field Division.
On Sept. 27, 2015, Jackson, a felon, was found to be in possession of a Rohm Gesellschaft.38 caliber revolver, one box of Winchester.38 caliber live ammunition and one round of 9x19
caliber ammunition. The gun and the ammunition were found in a safe; the safe was in a car that wasregistered to Jackson.
Jackson faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of up to 3 years when he is sentenced on May 23, 2016 by U.S. District Judge Mae

This case is being investigated by the ATF and the New York State Police, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Farber.
