MADISON, WIS. -- Jeffrey M. Anderson, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Nicholas Wosinski, 28, Whitewater, Wis., was sentenced Friday, April 28, by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 42 months in federal prison for the armed robbery of a Jefferson, Wis. business.
This prison term will be followed by three years of supervised release. Wosinski was also ordered to pay $958 in restitution. He pleaded guilty to this charge on Feb. 10, 2017.
Wosinksi acted as the getaway driver during the armed robbery of the Pitz Stop Liquor store in Jefferson, on February 5, 2016. The robbery was committed by James Mizener, 49, Palmyra, Wis., who also has pleaded guilty in federal court. Mizener is scheduled to be sentenced on May 3.
The charges against Nicholas Wosinski and James Mizener were the result of an investigation conducted by the Jefferson Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Anderson.
