CHAIRMAN DOMENICI POSTPONES CLIMATE CHANGE DISCUSSION UNTIL ENERGY BILL REACHES SENATE FLOOR

The following press release was published by the Senate Committee On Energy & Natural Resources on April 9, 2003. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, D.C. - Senate Energy & Natural Resources Chairman Pete Domenici announced today that he intends to postpone any consideration of climate change matters until the floor debate on his energy bill. Senator Domenici’s statement: My decision to postpone consideration of climate change matters is not based on the merits of any particular proposal, but, rather, recognition that a consensus does not exist on the Energy Committee, and the matter is better considered by the full Senate.
