Domenici Announces Appointment of Bruce Evans as New Staff Director

Washington, D.C. - Senate Energy & Natural Resources Chairman Pete Domenici today announced the selection of Bruce M. Evans as staff director for the committee.

Domenici’s statement:

“Bruce brings extensive expertise in natural resources, energy and nuclear matters to this post. I have admired his previous work for the Senate Committee on Appropriations. I look forward to his contributions as staff director and a smooth transition as we begin another successful legislative year."

Evans currently serves as the clerk for the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior and Related Agencies. He worked as a professional staff member for the same subcommittee from 1995 to 1997. From 1991 to 1994, he served as a legislative assistant for Senator Slade Gordon (WA), where he handled energy, water resources, nuclear waste cleanup, and agriculture. In 1989 and 1990 he served as a legislative assistant for Senator Frank Murkowski (AK). He holds a B.A. from Yale University.

Bruce Evans will replace Alex Flint after a transition period.
